hello.
i don't suppose many people read this, i mean, it's been stuck for the past 3+ months now. i've probably lost all viewership, but that's cool, i mean it was probably only my mom checking it on her list of bookmark pit stops.
so i'm back here, and i promise i won't do you like i've done so many times in the past. that is make some wild promise that i never had any intention to keep: such as blogging regularly.
this is what it is: i don't really have much to say i'm willing to say, but i have lots on my mind. in my experience, you have to be prudent with whom and what you say...and although i've always kept my heart on my sleeve, i think i'm learning to guard it more as i can't tell just anyone about my life. i get jacked.
well well well. i'll just roll some things off of my dome and eventually we'll get somewhere.
here goes:
first. the uchizono family had a huge loss, taro uchizono, who is gpa to a brother of mine, russell uchizono. thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your fam bam sir.
a boss pic of his gpa in WWII fighting with the 442nd holding a picture of his wife over his heart.
photo cred: russ' facebook
second. pleeeease keep praying for japan.
third. i love my new job and coworkers, it's such a unique place to work. blessed to be working with so many people who are believers. encouraged that this is something that is by God's grace and provision...i can't believe i have this job.
and on a side note, this is pretty much all i've been doing.
i believe in what Liferay is doing and the product that i have the privilege of endorsing. and yeah, it's consumed my time, but i'm so grateful and blessed to have a job (especially one so great). something that is completely unexpected and perfectly timed. thank you God.
fourth. shoe game. i'll have to post some pics sometime, but my mom has suggested i take Polaroid's and stick them on the outside of the boxes to give me a thumbnail as to what they are by just looking at the box. i'll probably have to take it up sometime soon. she must've copped the idea from a tv show. cuz i've seen this on peoples blogs in their closets.
fifth. well, i'm having a hard time balancing my life. coming from work, i am super tired and usually manage to grab food on the way back. Then it's time to get ready for bed, shower and then i'm "pau" (Hawaiian for "done/finished"). i do try my best to hang out with my friends, stay out late, and do whatever when i can.
I am very blessed to have great friends who offer opportunities to chill. the main thing i need to be reminded of: is to be intentional when I am with them...and not just do it because its fun or convenient. it's to love them and have fellowship with them.
i'll go to a good friend of mine for this... jamie 02/02/2011: correct me if i'm wrong, but He reminded me that life is all about building relationships with people, loving people, and giving. He taught me that life is about giving God your firsts and trusting Him with the rest. and when He says giving God your firsts, it doesn't just mean giving God 10% of your paycheck. it's not about eating out or any of that, it's about giving people your quality time. I feel like when it comes to other people's lives, just like when it comes to that 10%, we should just give without a second thought."
sixth. i'm going to see grant in a month. =] i can't wait. i miss this guy so much.
=D ! ! ! slap hands! ! ! slap hands! ! !
seventh. i need to workout more because i love eating out. i have been playing ball a lot more and i love it. and secretly, i miss it. boo hoo. so consensus is either eat less or workout more. i think it's going to have to be the latter. (i've been saying this for forever. so dont count on it)
eighth. In case you don't know by now, i broke my rsx, again...after it got fixed (from the axel breaking on me on the freeway). my engine threw a rod this time. and i also found out that it wasn't because of mis-shifting, it just threw a rod all by itself (which is what i remember) so i'm now rolling in the sienna. and i'll probably wait till the VW r20, toyota/subaru ft-86, and new audi a3 come out. those are the top prospects for the future. plans for the rsx right now are to sell it and move on. and honestly, this is a car one engine away from being a monster. (track especially) my parents think it best to move on. so i will proceed...and continue.
ninth. disneyland. it's been amazing going more lately. if you have a pass and wanna go sometime, please lemme know. or if you just wanna go. i'm down. Mashing Mandy on Pinocchio.
tenth. i'm thinking a lot about destiny. and just the way things should be. and where things are at. and i know that things are exactly as they should be. exactly where i am supposed to be. doing the exact thing i'm doing. and it's peaceful knowing that God has this all on lock.
here's to life. cheers.
yay for a blog post! thanks for posting, it's always nice to see updates no matter how far apart they are. :)
